What we collect

Who can see your location

Only the accepted trusted contacts you choose when you start a sharing session, until it expires or you stop it. During an SOS, all your accepted trusted contacts can see it for up to 60 minutes, or until the alert is resolved or cancelled. FOG staff do not view your location except to investigate a security incident or when the law requires it, and that access is logged.

Why (lawful basis)

To provide the service you asked for (contract), based on your consent to each sharing session. You can withdraw consent at any time by stopping sharing or removing a contact.

How long we keep it

Location positions are deleted after 30 days during the pilot. Positions linked to an SOS are kept with that alert for 12 months. Deleting your account deletes everything immediately.

Where it is stored

On cloud servers operated by Vercel (application) and Neon (database), which may be outside Nigeria. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest by those providers.

What we never do

We never sell location data, use it for advertising, or let anyone start tracking you without your action. No feature lets someone locate a person by phone number or IP address.

Your rights

Under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 you can access, correct or delete your data, object to processing, and complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission. Delete your account in Settings, or email ceo@fogtechnexus.space.

Important

FOG GEOINT depends on your phone's location settings, battery and network, and on your contacts responding. It is not an emergency service and does not contact the police or ambulance. In an emergency call 112. The pilot is for adults aged 18 and over.
